I always suspected about how the US would invent a new defense weapon, and soon after the USSR would have it. Then all over again, we invent a new system and again the USSR gets it too.
It kept the US and USSR constantly spending tax dollars (wheel spinning) on unneeded defense systems, (until USSR went bankrupt) because during fake rivalry, not a shot was ever fired thru the so called cold war. So, did the defense system turn into a global organization? Using spies?
