That’s what they wanted to do to try to force the US to get involved and WW111. There might be a problem though. Just like the few Americans than went if something happened it wouldn’t cause a NATO artical 5 or whatever because its not a attack on a NATO land and they fought on non NATO land  as the aggressor. They’re probably thinking out their next move right now.
