It’s my understanding that if you sign up for a margin account one of the terms is that they can lend out your shares.

If you just have a cash account they can’t do it.

Also that if you have a margin account and put gtc orders on your shares, then they can’t loan them.

Then what is that guy talking about? They need to go after the market manipulation machines and naked shorts. When they got taken down by a bunch of kids when they were shorting game stop and the movie theaters the got their comeuppance in a short squeeze and threatened Robinhood and who knows who else to stop all buys to only sells. They buyers weren’t doing anything wrong. No one investigated them for market manipulation!!!  There should of been a law suit by the buyers.

I wonder why Powell would forward predict he will not lower interest rates this year or next forward thinking next year unless he thinks this war will keep going and so will inflation.

If you want to see a massive silver squeeze, owners of $SLV and $PSLV only need to move there shares to a non-margin account and ensure their brokers can’t lend the shares. This collective action alone would lead to a run on comex and a complete drain of the silver. 100% certain.

I doubt Ukraine will do anything but undermine the peace process. With all the hysterics about Putin and how evil he is here in the west, Zelensky is the one who shouldn’t be trusted. He still thinks the EU can save him and will do whatever those evil pricks want him to do.

Again, we need to cut off everything to Ukraine and end our participation in NATO. Otherwise, they’ll drag us into WWIII.

Doesn’t seem we’re all that overbought just yet, but the HUI sort of tapered off yesterday after making new highs. It’s funny, some of the shares are overbought and some not. The rising tide hasn’t lifted all boats so far, but a lot of them.

Dollar bouncing this am, but rates are flat. Everything is pretty much flat. SM showing meager gains, but still on shaky ground.

I guess the scum could play the HUI as a double top, and give us another short, quick death drop. Although I doubt it would last for more than a couple days unless the metals got seriously pounded.

The Fed meeting snuck up on me. Didn’t realize they were even scheduled this week. Don’t think they’ll do anything to help the economy in terms of cutting. Are they irrelevant yet?
