That was I talking about it with aurum. I’ve had it since 2003 and added more than once. I wouldn’t mind if it made me whole.
Maddog @ 17:22
Right … good work.
Looks like next week could be better for us.
The shares are really picking up nicely.
Profits in the producers should be at records this month/quarter in spite of any month end tape painting of metals prices.
That should bring in some buying and buyouts soon.
Cheers

Tks…..I had written my post a while back and just posted it……
I track the spread between PHYS and GLD and PSLV and SLV…for the first signs that someone has found out that GLD and SLV are empty…so far no signs….though poss bottoms recently…
Maddog @ 16:48
That’s what I confirmed.
Read my most recent post below.

Re shorts
The biggest problem is the SEC hardly ever police naked shorting…especially if you are some super connected hedge fund/Bank.
Captain Hook……..drb2
No way can you borrow the metal from Sprott , to short it or deliver against other shorts…please can you check what you are saying….I am with DRB2 ….Sprotts metal is not available.
GLD has a minimum of 100k shares that can be redeemed for phys, Sprott does not..and looking at their web site tells me you can take delivery and then do what you like……which is normal.
PSLV
Perhaps there is some confusion about borrowing shares to short versus borrowing the silver to short.
Regarding NAK, did have a bigger position that did well and I decided to game the position. I sold near the recent top and rebought near the recent bottom however only a more modest position so perhaps a tactical error if no chance presents to add below the recent high.

I just checked as I have been reading etc. so much this week I wanted to check.
It looks like they in fact cannot redeem the metal – Eric Sprott made sure of that – so all this shorting does is prevent them from buying more silver.
So, the specs etc. are short and must cover at some point, but the bankers can’t get the physical.
So, where they are getting all this physical from – maybe JPM and/or SLV.
It doesn’t really matter – they have built up their Comex supply for a while – so they probably intend to cover the shorts when stocks go down – hoping for a deflation scare.
That’s not bullish short-term, but longer term they can never duplicate what they just did with gold again; and silver should follow at some point once enough time and consumption occurs.
I am open to any other more bullish scenarios if somebody has one.
It will be telling where they are able to get silver to close at month end.
You can’t say they won this week with the silver finishing at $33. (Just a normal consolidation?)
They won’t like that.
But they did finish the NDX positive, so they sure showed us – no?

drb2 @ 13:42
The brokers are the ones that will know.
I don’t know if Sprott would know – or give you a straight answer.
Very dangerous games being played here.
Rick Rule is all for a squeeze.
I wonder what he really knows.

Captain Hook @ 13:15 re The Mechanics of Silver
Ya know, I started reading it, and stopped the see how long the story was. The explanation was extremely long, and I thought what my wife used to say. “The bigger the explanation the bigger the lie”. If the author really knew his stuff, he should be able to explain it simply and briefly.
Sprott Funds (CEF; PSLV; PHYS; SPPP)
I just called and was assured that someone will get back to me ASAP.
If anyone else has a concern and would like to contact Sprott their phone number is 416-943-8099
drb2
Would love to hear what you find out! Thanks.
Capt. Hook – thanks for your reply
This is unacceptable to me.
I will call Sprott today to voice my displeasure and ask what assurance do they have that they will be made whole? !!
drb2 @ 12:41
Nope – the large holders 100k units – can be borrowed (from shorting) and redeemed for the metal.
They have not reported on this since December 13th, so nothing is for sure here, but based on the way they have already raped SLV, one could think they (Blackrock, bullion banks, etc?) are doing the same here.
If this is the case, it’s a very good indication they are really getting low on supply.
And nothing will help this condition as time passes with increasing demand and falling supply.
They just got to have dem data centers so they can run your life – but they never counted on this.
They will screw themselves just like they did in 2000 and 2008. and the wiseacre bureaucrats in India who are blowing up their economy with a short gold scheme that they are heavily under water on – and getting worse by the day, week, month, year etc.

Hey, have you guys seen this article. It’s very good. And it made to Kitco, so the square heads have to live in reality now too.

Thanks for presenting your question. I also thought that Sprott products were unencumbered and had holdings of 1:1.
Captain Hook @ 12:07
I can’t imagine people selling PM shares going into what should be historical good action in g+s! We’ve been waiting many years for this to happen. What a tragedy if the opportunity is missed.
On July 1 more of the Basel rules go into effect. Supposedly this will cause the great lessening of the power of the cartel to hold down prices with paper.
This is talked about by Andrew Maguirre below.

@ Capt. Hook RE: your 12:07 post – “…and the short in PSLV being their new primary source of physical to counter the loss of the LMBA”
Good morning Capt.
I always pay attention to your posts and value your contribution to the Forum.
As a holder of PSLV your comment “...and the short in PSLV being their new primary source of physical to counter the loss of the LMBA…” really got my attention!!
I have always been of the understanding that the Sprott products PSLV; PHYS; CEF; SPPP were all unencumbered, physical 1:1 products.
At least in the normal brokerages (Fidelity, Schwabb etc.) options cannot be bought or sold on any of them. They are as close to holding physical as anything, but the real thing.
If you have time, could you elaborate on how they short these products…. and what shareholders can do about it?
ipso facto @ 11:05
Yes, with the silver float in London down to ~170,000 ounces, and the short in PSLV being their new primary source of physical to counter the loss of the LMBA, both of these factors combined will eventually trump bullion bank shorting at some point.
It’s just of a matter of time if they don’t cover their shorts before a squeeze begins.
The only thing that could possibly derail this set-up is a deflationary monster collapse in the broad stock market(s). (and this would only be temporary)
The vast majority of the gains will be seen in the last 5% of the time (little by little – and then all at ounce – so hold on to your positions).
I would place the odds of a squeeze now at 50 – 50, which is the best odds we have ever seen (the odds will only get better over time).
I am counting government intervention here as well.
Everything is crossed.
Cheers
HUI
Might be impressive if the HUI can hold 350. They’re working hard on NEM and AEM to see that it doesn’t.

Despite all the narratives, oil has traded inside a wide range for years. We are in the lower part of the range.
Captain Hook 10:11
No matter what they think we’re not obligated to hang around. If anything it would be them who would obligated but we see where that would go. With the mid eastern wars BIBI picking up where they left off after the 60s plan thwarted when the USS Liberty ship survived the attack Isreal after they found out they were killing the Egyptian prisoners and after the Golan Heights are back after Syria and the Golan Heights and getting us to attack Iran if they can more will be driven your way any day now knowing they can rob rape and murder to work out their anger without accountability.
In 5-10 years Europe will be over run by Muslims and Africans anyway.
deer79, Captain
deer79 – thanks for the reminder, forgot about OpEx today, and it’s a big one. SLV is hovering around the $30 level. Probably the best place to wipe out the most folks there too.
Captain – agree 100%. Delay, obfuscate, obstruct. The Globalists are masters at it. The sooner we get out of NATO and the UN, the better off we’ll be.
