Loading ...Let’s be clear here…. I’m retired, not on ‘vacation’. All those little projects “I’ll do someday when I’m retired” have come due! Then there is the ‘homeowner’ issues and jungle yard maintenance… I’m working more than I have in recent years. Only difference is I’m working for myself now, for lots less pay! At least I no longer need to ‘save for retirement’.
I actually have an entire railroad in tiny Z-gauge on a coffee table that I have roughed out, to be finished “someday when I retire”.
I have also discovered Senior Discount day at the local rural Ace Hardware store. Amazing ‘general store’ with absolutely everything you might need. And with a Chinese restaurant across the parking lot… life is good.
