Thanks for responding. Your question seems reasonable and maybe one of our resident gun recoil experts here can answer it. I agree it does not seem to be what I would expect the weapon to do when fired.
Another thing I noticed on the movie clip was in the last frame they showed, with the weapon pointing directly to the left, the childs left arm was ABOVE the weapon but the instructors left arm was BELOW the weapon. So if a tragedy did take place, and if the instructor was shot in the head as stated, he must have reacted to the moment by bringing his left arm up under the weapon and causing it to point at his head. Somehow all the pieces do not seem to fit what is being reported and what is shown in the video clip.
