Could also be that Merkel and the EU put some pressure on Porushenko and Ukraine to do a cease fire because a wicked winter is around the corner and they need that nat gas? Could also be that Russian sanctions are killing a few EU countries, namely Greece?
BUT, it ain’t over until Putin says it’s over. I suspect as the winter nears Putin will push Porushenko and the EU to let East Ukraine vote to join Russia?
Putin is doing a masterful job of dividing the west IMHO.
