Well , I have another formation , taken from reliability studies . The failure rate of a new product can be high due to manufacturing issues , poor materials , etc. Then after that initial period , the item can work for years without problems until it wears out and failures become prevalent . That curve is similar in shape to the outline of a bathtub cut in two vertically – and looks like an exaggerated , wide U , so is called the bathtub curve .
Imagine if we are setting up for a bathtub curve in the PM’s .
