Loading ...I have two refrigerator/freezer appliances .
One is a GE top of the line model which I bought in 1984 . I moved it from SC to PA ( four moves there ) and to FL . It has never been repaired , and still runs fine .
The other is a super-duper , bells and whistles Kenmore Elite . Made out of country , I am sure. I do not expect it to last more than 5 or 6 years .
If you look on Youtube there are a number of presentations of folks who are customers or are in the repair business who say that you are lucky to make it out of warranty ( two years ) without problems .
I KNOW America can do better than that , and can make appliances which give good service for decades , not months . I think that is Trump’s message to us – bring back manufacturing to the USA .
Remember Curtis Mathes TV’s whose ads were “We cost more and are damned well worth it !” ? Long gone , because Americans bought cheaper imports . Now they produce only LED lighting products .
