Loading ...Hindsight being 20/20, I am SO glad my old job prospect at KOMO fell thru in 2008. It would have been a disastrous finale’ to my career. My friend there also got the axe but is still working in his 70s down in Florida now. As it was here I still got the ‘early retirement’ axe, but at least I was able to stay in the islands.
Local news content is driven by ‘ratings’ and they feed whatever the eyeballs want to see. Being a TV News director is one of the most volatile jobs in the industry. Bad news ratings, and the News Director gets changed like dirty underwear.
