You know you can lease a stream and even live there quietly of course. I checked into it around 2008. Another nurse was interested in what I found and wanted to go for it.
It’s cheap too and it becomes your space like a claim.
You just have to watch out for some creeps that might want to take what ever you found and not leave witnesses so have to stay quiet. I met someone who’s mother got killed that way cuz some ignorant couple of low lives “ wanted to get me some of that there gold,” and she didn’t have a lot either. They shot her and her boyfriend but she didn’t survive.
All you have to do over time is make upgrades to you mining site to extend it forever. They have different environmental rules depending where it is like cant set up slugging.
Maybe a pair of fishing overhauls and water proof dish gloves to keep the hypothermia away. I always wondered about those waterproof overhauls what if you fall in if they fill up with water. Wet suit is safer.
