Hope I have a time to see what it is in reference too because if you disobey God you will be but not always for a eternity but fall out of his favor or protection until you learn something or maybe a payment for disobeying like owing a bill and one less thing out of the way, People don’t always see something they may have done was a sin then something else happens and wonder why because it’s not correlated and have to figure it out. While other things apparently once you know and do it anyways may have a harsher payment.
