Aquarius is a scientific sign and since 1881 science has made greater advances than during the 2,000 Piscean years. Its ruler, Uranus, governs invention, psychology, electricity and the study of the stars. The world has adopted electricity as an important source of power (while the early 19th century had seen rapid progress in electrical science, the late 19th century would see the greatest progress in electrical engineering…electricity turned from a scientific curiosity into an essential tool for modern life, becoming a driving force of the 2nd Industrial Revolution); inventions have revolutionized industry, astronomy has extended its boundaries from our solar system to the measurement of stars and other universes, and psychology has come to be recognized as a subject that is now studied in our schools. Last but not least, man conquered air travel. None of the above could have been done in an age ruled by water.
