Loading ...A lot of those carts are laying around not because of homeless but car- less people getting there groceries home then leaving the cart. They should have a wagon drive lol and give the wagons. Not all homeless are Bums but fell on hard times, disabled, vets, or mentally disabled. After the movie One Flew Over the Coo-coos Nest or something like that there was such a uproar that they released the mentally impaired. Only those considered 51/50 or dangerous to self or others could be held. No longer could a husband lock his wife up because she wanted a divorce because he was abusive or a mad doctor hold someone against their will. Like brain dead legislation they made no plans for housing them to they wander the streets unable to manage a checkbook. Something missed in that assessment. Then when on the streets they learned to do drugs ir get manipulated by the druggies to get their money to – share with them. I ran into someone putting a cart in his truck once. He told me how expensive they were which shocked me too and said some stores will pay people per cart to return them to there store. I went into a dollar store this last year next to the grocery store and they only had one shopping cart left. All the others were walked off the lot. They should really get something like a cart or even a 20 dollar cheap stroller they can put their groceries in but that requires thought I guess.
