Those are all heirloom tomatoes. I pick them when they first start to blush and put them in the window sill for two or three days. If I let them get ripe on the vine, the grasshoppers and other varmints get to them first.
had a big plate of fried okra for dinner yesterday. It rained two inches and record low high temperatures again. After five years of intense heat and drought, the green cool countryside feels good on my old bones.
