Very similar observations here in BC. We’ve had about a ft of accumulation here that did not act like snow should act; not slippery at all. Then the weather turned mild and the snow began to disappear but no runoff as would be expected; just evaporation until it was gone. Normally when the weather turns mild the snow on the roofs of barn and house begin to drip and then slide off, leaving a huge pile on the ground, but this snow did not slide off. It just evaporated until it was gone. I had to plow my driveway, about 800 ft, which left high berms on the sides. Normally when the weather warms up those berms melt and there is lots of runoff, but this time there is no runoff and they are just evaporating, and that is with about 45 degree weather here. Very strange but it tells me this snow is “made”, and I don’t mean by Mother Nature.
